According to Xinhua News Agency, from the press conference of the Shanghai Municipal Government held on July 15, it was learned that Shanghai has set specific promotion targets. By 2015, it will promote the use of 130 million new energy vehicles and build 6,000 new types of charging posts.

Ma Jing, deputy director of the Shanghai Municipal Economic and Information Commission, said that in line with national requirements and the development of new energy vehicles in Shanghai, Shanghai's new energy vehicle promotion program clearly aims to achieve 13,000 new energy vehicles in Shanghai in 2015. Among them, foreign brand vehicles are not less than 30%; Shanghai's new or updated public transportation, public service, sanitation, logistics vehicles, the proportion of new energy vehicles is not less than 30%. In terms of charging facilities, about 6,000 new types of charging piles will be built, of which about 1800 AC and DC charging piles will be built between 2013 and 2014, and about 4,200 will be constructed in 2015.
